Wobl in motion

Animated scene (AI-animated). The figure is real, the movement is animated.

What is said in the video

This is Wobl. Stands firm. Inwardly probably not. From 3 to 10 centimetres. Small enough for the shelf. Big enough for drama. From €9.99. Come say hi. We don't bite. Mostly.

Character

Wobl seems solid, round and a little pensive. He is one of those Wompfel who don't give everything away at once but grow on you over time.

His strength is the classic Wompfel feeling: singular, calm, slightly odd and easy to recognise.

What Wobl looks like

Wobl is mint green and egg-shaped, patterned all over with pale rings and little dots. In between sit raised, crusty patches in grey-green, as if lichen had settled on a stone. On top sit two pointed ears with pink insides; below them two large green glass eyes with pink lids, a pig snout and a slightly crooked, half-open mouth with two little teeth. Wobl props his thin, pale-pink arms out to the sides and keeps his legs bent – he crouches low and wide, as if nothing could knock him over.

Who Wobl makes the perfect gift for

Wobl is the gift for anyone facing something big: final exams, the driving test, the first day at a new job, the move to an unfamiliar city. He doesn't say everything will be fine. He just crouches there, wide and unflustered, looking as steady as you'd like to feel. His ability fits the bill: he can look steady even while he's questioning everything. So giving someone Wobl says: you're allowed to doubt – and you'll get through it anyway. He likes wide surfaces and safe distances; he doesn't like wobbling or sudden changes of direction. Understandable.

Where Wobl feels at home

Wobl belongs where people study or plan: on the desk next to the flashcards, on the bedside table before the big day, or on the new shelf after the move. For a desk, 5 to 7 cm works well; as the calm centre of a shelf, choose 9 or 10 cm. He avoids wobbly surfaces.
