Collectible figures without blind boxes.
You choose.
Blind boxes live on surprise: only after buying do you find out which figure is inside. At Wompfel it's the other way round. You see every character beforehand, pick exactly the one that suits you, and choose the size too.
Blind box or choose it yourself?
| Blind box | Wompfel | |
|---|---|---|
| Which figure? | Chance, only visible once opened | You choose the character beforehand |
| Duplicates | They happen, swapping is common | Only if you order them |
| Rare figures | Often included in a series with lower odds | No artificial scarcity: every character stays available to order |
| Size | Usually one fixed size per series | Ten sizes, from 3 to 20 cm |
| Story | Depends on the series | Every Wompfel has a name, a character, likes and a Wompfel ID |
| Production | Depends on the manufacturer | Made in Germany after you order and finished by hand |
Collecting without chance.
What is a blind box?
A sealed package containing one figure from a series. You only see which one when you open it. The appeal is the surprise; the downside is that anyone after a particular figure often buys several times and ends up with duplicates.
Why are there no rare figures at Wompfel?
Because every Wompfel is only made after you order it. There is no print run that can sell out and no figure that is deliberately kept scarce. The ranks Alpha, Titan, Prime and Pocket describe a character's role in the Wompfel world, not its rarity.
How do I find the right Wompfel?
Every figure page shows the character, likes and dislikes, plus photos of the figure, many from several angles. In the overview you can filter by rank, and the A to Z list takes you straight to any Wompfel.
Can I still be surprised?
Yes, in a different way: every Wompfel is finished by hand. That creates small differences, so no two pieces are exactly alike.
From what age?
Wompfel are collectible figures, not toys, and are not suitable for children under 14.
